HI Fireworks Extravaganza cancelled for 2020

The organisers of the Histon and Impington annual Fireworks Extravaganza have held their AGM, and regretfully decided to cancel this year’s event.

The event has previously been attended by over 4000 people and we cannot see with certainty that lockdown restrictions will have eased sufficiently to allow such a large gathering.

Organising the event usually starts in mid-August and we did not want to start the process of securing sponsorship and selling tickets in this period of uncertainty.

The committee is very keen that the event returns in 2021, and we hope to have a record crowd then.

How to get tickets

Tickets will be available from early October onwards. Buying ahead of the event will save you a few pounds and also help us get the crowds through more quickly on the night. Please do buy ahead if you can.

Several Histon/Impington outlets sell tickets for this event. These are:
Daisy Chain, The Geographer, Histon Chop Shop, D:Licious Vision Park, Station Stores and CamTrust. Cash purchases only.

If you have children in Histon & Impington Infant School, Histon & Impington Junior School or Impington Village College, you will be able to order tickets through them. A letter will be sent home with them a couple of weeks before half-term.

Feeling peckish?

If you’re planning on eating at the fireworks this year, you’re in for a treat.

The Longhorn Farmshop will be there selling Longhorn burgers, Curly bang baps, Pulled pork rolls and Vegetable chilli nacho bowls.

In addition Sam’s Thai Kitchen with their delicious selection of meat and vegetarian options.

The junior school PTA will be selling cakes, hot drinks and other snacks.

There will also be ice cream, donuts and crepes.

So plenty of options to suit all tastes.

Thanks to our sponsors and supporters who help make this a great event
